Appearance Matters - Medical - Travelling - Enjoying Your Stay

Here at Appearance Matters, we aim to ensure that you get only the very best out of your visit to Poland. As well as taking care of all your surgery requirements and travel arrangements, we also want to make sure that you enjoy your leisure time in and around the city of Warsaw.

You will be visiting a fascinating country with a wealth of tourist attractions, historical sights and beautiful scenery. Take a look at the day trips from Warsaw on our Poland page. There's something there to suit everyone.

Since most of the surgery we arrange is provided in or near the capital city of Warsaw, we have put together a list of the most popular and interesting tourist attractions that are within easy reach of this great city. See our Warsaw page for details.

As well as strolling around the monuments and green spaces of the city itself, we think that you will also want to take a break from the city centre bustle and enjoy something much more relaxing. Take a look at our Leisure Activities page for ideas on how to spend a few hours - or even a whole day - doing something a little different.

Perhaps you've decided to combine your treatment with a longer holiday in Poland? If so, our Holiday Opportunities page has a wide range of suggestions, with more things to do and places to see, including castles, caves, nearby historical towns and even a visit to the seaside.

We have your accommodation needs well and truly covered. See our Hotels page for the best deals in town.

At the end of your day, you'll be ready to sample the local cuisine. There are some unique and exciting choices on our Eating & Drinking page. If you are feeling more energetic when evening falls, visit our Nightlife page for a selection of the most exciting entertainment options that cosmopolitan Warsaw has to offer.

Climate
There are slightly colder winters in the east and southern mountainous regions, and marginally warmer winters and cooler summers on the Baltic coast.

Summer:
As well as higher temperatures during the summer months, this is also the most likely time for rain, so it's worth taking appropriate clothing, even in the middle of summer. Showers can be heavy. Average summer temperatures are in the mid twenties (Celsius) although, like many central European countries, it is often considerably hotter.

Winter:
It is colder than in the UK and there is more snow. On average, Poland has 40 days of snowfall in winter, with sixty days or more in the east and south of the country. Average winter temperatures are often no more than a few degrees below zero and there can be periods of colder weather, especially when strong easterly winds from Russia prevail. Take plenty of warm and protective clothing if you're travelling during the colder months - and bundle up well!

What to wear:
As with most of Western and Central Europe, the weather can be very changeable at any time of year, so it's best to come prepared with a good selection of warm and waterproof clothing, as well as comfortable walking shoes and a waterproof rucksack if you are planning any excursions into the countryside.

We recommend checking www.bbc.co.uk/weather for detailed information on weather in Poland.
